| Frankfurt, a centre of business and finance, is an excellent location for trade fairs or convention trips for groups, conferences, product launches or corporate presentations
Frankfurt, the world's oldest trade fair city, started at the time of Emperor Frederick, who in the year 1240 helped establish trade fairs in the free city Frankenfurth. Now events are hosted here from all over the world for every imaginable type of business. Frankfurt is a city full of contrasts, a fascinating blend
of pulsating metropolis and tranquil village, and it has much to offer
to inhabitants and visitors alike. It has developed into one of the most
important European financial and trading centres. Today, it has 368 banks,
including the German Central Bank and approximately 230 foreign banks,
and the world's
fourth largest stock exchange. It has almost any employees
(569,000) as inhabitants (650.000). Travel to Frankfurt is easy as the airport is also an international hub and with more than 45 million passengers a year make it the second largest in Europe. The Frankfurt Fair, the oldest in the world, is also a global magnet: be it the Book Fair, Music Fair or Car Show, fairs attract almost 2.7 million visitors to Frankfurt in peak years. |
