Hamburg, Germany's second largest city, is an excellent location for trade fairs, convention trips for groups, conferences, product launches or corporate presentations
Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city with one of Europe's biggest ports. It has been an important node of commerce since the Middle Ages, part of an inter-city-network called Hanse. Privileges regarding commerce, taxes and politics guaranteed its wealth and independence. Still today Hamburg boasts high living standards, with a cosmopolitan lifestyle and magnificent architecture. Hamburg has over forty trade fairs, exhibitions and other events in a year, at which up to 10,000 exhibitors and over one million visitors come together from all over the world, the Hamburg Messe is a main location on the German trade fair scene. Travel to Hamburg is quick and easy by motorway, or even faster with German Rail’s high-speed InterCity Express (ICE) – just three and a half hours to Hamburg from Frankfurt, two hours from Berlin and five hours from Munich. Hamburg’s international airport is just half an hour from the central railway station. |
